Meet the Captain
Captain D is U.S. Coast Guard licensed and fully insured and has a deep love for the waters of Manatee County, where she grew up. For over a decade, she and her husband have been fishing for mullet in these local waters. They even spent six years creating a delightful food truck that serves the mullet they catch, along with other fresh, local fish. Recently, they decided to hand the family business over to their nephew, ensuring the tradition lives on. Driven by her passion for the water and the environment, Captain D launched Day Trippin Boat Tours, where her excitement shines as she shares the stunning beauty of the area’s waters and wildlife with everyone.
